Jakarta, NU Online. The beautiful artist Nurul Arifin said Sunday (13/8) in Jakarta that she herself supported the edict (fatwa) issued by the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) at a three-day national ulema meeting in Surabaya last July.
As an artist I am personally grateful to the PBNU edict, said Nurul Arifin while speaking at a public dialog Health of Adolescent Reproduction conducted by Nahdlatul Ulama Welfare Family Institution (LKKNU) in Jakartas Mega Hotel on Sunday.
She suggested that news in the infotainment has recently exposed the very personal matters of the artists themselves. Due to the fact, Nurul supported the issuance of an edict prohibiting Muslims from watching or producing television gossip shows.Her endorsement to the PBNU edict was also based on the fact that the states sensory analysis team and Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) have not functioned in accordance with their roles.
As experienced by other artists, Nurul also admitted there were such difficulties to face infotainment journalists.
